Shoe Care & FAQ

Start with your shoe's care label.

Shoe-washing bags don't make unsuitable footwear safe to machine wash. Only use them with shoes whose manufacturer explicitly permits machine washing, and follow both the shoe instructions and the bag's supplied care instructions.

Orenlo is preparing to open. Orders are not being accepted yet, and the final product's fit and care information will be confirmed before sale.

How to use the bags

  1. Read the shoe manufacturer's cleaning instructions. If machine washing isn't explicitly allowed, use the recommended alternative instead.
  2. Remove loose dirt before washing. Handle laces and insoles as the shoe manufacturer directs.
  3. Place one shoe in each bag only if it fits comfortably and the closure shuts fully without force. Do not overfill.
  4. Close each bag securely. Follow the shoe and bag instructions for detergent, temperature, cycle and load arrangement; use only settings permitted by both.
  5. Remove the shoes promptly after the wash and dry them as directed by their manufacturer. Let the bags dry completely before storing.

If either item lacks clear care instructions, contact us before using the bags.

What's included?

The planned offer is two chenille shoe-washing bags, intended for one suitable shoe per bag. Shoes, detergent and other accessories are not included. Final measurements, materials, closure details and fit limits will be published before orders open.

Will they fit my shoes?

Fit depends on the shoe's length, width and shape, as well as the bag's usable space. We will publish the approved bag dimensions before sale. A shoe must fit without stretching the bag or forcing the closure; we do not promise a universal shoe-size fit.

Which shoes can I wash?

Only shoes that their manufacturer explicitly approves for machine washing. Do not assume that fabric sneakers are washable. Leather, suede, delicate trim, glued components, electronic features and other constructions may need special care. Do not machine wash them unless their manufacturer specifically permits it.

Do the bags prevent damage or remove every stain?

No. Bags do not guarantee protection against damage, color transfer, shrinking, loss of shape or wear. They also don't guarantee stain removal. Results depend on the shoe, soil, detergent, machine and care instructions. A bag is not a substitute for checking whether the shoe can be washed.

Can I put the bags and shoes in the dryer?

Do not use a tumble dryer unless both the shoe manufacturer and the bag's care instructions explicitly allow it. Follow their temperature and drying guidance. If either does not permit tumble drying, keep the items out of the dryer.

Can I reuse the bags?

They are intended for repeated use when cared for as directed. Check the fabric and closure before each wash. Stop using a bag if it is torn, worn through, or will not close properly.

Can I put both shoes in one bag?

The intended setup is one suitable shoe per bag. Do not crowd two shoes into a single bag or force the closure.

Do I still need detergent?

A washing bag is not detergent. Use only the cleaning products and quantities permitted by the shoe and bag instructions.

How do I care for the bags?

Follow the supplied bag-care label. Remove loose debris after use and allow the bags to dry completely before storing. Final cleaning and temperature instructions will be provided with the approved product.
